ONE-BLUE opens registration for its Autumn School on marine pollution analysis and monitoring

  • The three-day training, held in Madrid from 18–20 November, welcomes PhD candidates, young researchers, and anyone interested in learning more about marine pollution, environmental monitoring, and innovative ocean protection tools
  • Organised by IDAEA-CSIC, the school aims to build capacity in tackling marine pollution under the Horizon Europe project ONE-BLUE

The EU-funded project ONE-BLUE announces the launch of its Autumn School, a three-day intensive training programme that will take place from 18 to 20 November 2025 at La Cristalera (Miraflores de la Sierra, Madrid, Spain).

Organised by IDAEA-CSIC (project coordinator), the Autumn School aims to train 25 PhD candidates, young researchers, and students in the latest methodologies for analysing, monitoring, and mitigating marine pollution, one of the key objectives of the Horizon Europe ONE-BLUE project.

A hands-on experience on ocean monitoring and emerging contaminant!

Over three days, participants will engage in lectures, discussions, and practical sessions covering a wide range of topics, including:

  • Chemical Pollution Regulation on Sea Water
  • Suspect and non-target analysis to identify organic contaminants in the environment
  • Detection of dissolved organic molecules in the ocean
  • Microbial ecology, ocean acidification, and omics approaches
  • Microfluidics and Lab-on-a-Chip monitoring systems
  • Management of European projects and research ethics

Confirmed speakers include experts from IDAEA-CSIC, CNR-IRSA, ORU, AWI, ICM-CSIC, INL, ITEFI-CSIC, CyRIC, DCU, and Finnova Foundation.

The registration fee is €350, covering accommodation and meals, during the three-day training. Limited seats available!!
